Mingus Ah Um. This one was recorded in 1959, but guess what? It has been digitally remastered, make sure you get the 20-bit remaster, you still hear a little hiss, but when the music kicks in, you can't hear it at all. Great music and a great recording for the time period. This music has a feel that is indescribable, hot jazz with great separation and range. Charles Mingus', Mingus Ah Um is a must have Jazz reference CD that makes you feel like you are there or wish you were there.
